The second qualifying session in Las Vegas was canceled due to inclement weather. This time it was for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Once again, the line-up was decided based on 2012 Owner Points. Because of this, Brian Vickers will start on the pole with Trevor Bayne on his outside. The rain-out will force Dale Earnhardt Jr., Travis Pastrana, and Kyle Busch to fight their way through the field from the back. Other drivers like Reed Sorenson, Hal Martin, and Joe Nemechek will have a spot up front to contend for the win. There were forty-three drivers that were going to attempt to qualify, so Chase Miller, Brendan Gaughan, and Kevin Swindell missed the race. We will have to wait until tomorrow to see if the drivers from the back can make it to the front and if some underdogs can come through with their up front starting spots.
